Impressions

These stupid portugues people invented plastic-ice-skating! Yes... I´m not skating on ice. I´m skating on a white plastic floor.
Anyway.... Its been a while since I posted the last time. Of course there are as always a lot of new things that happend, for example the first persons that left us, the coldest Lisbonwinter ever, etc... but I really don´t find enough time to write about that. University is going to finish next week, so I have plenty of stuff to do, a lot of homeworks, avaluationtests, etc.
These pictures are just some more Portugal-impressions for you, saying: I didn´t forget you!
Soon there will be more posts again.
Love*

Porto

Realizing that my last 3 months in Lisbon already started, I asked myself, when it is going to be the time to do all these things I always thought I would have time to do them later when I already considered an allday here?

Time is running out, and there are plenty of things I still wanna do. So.... even though even my money is running out, I took the Austrians invitation to go to Porto to pick up Michis ghostfriend Lolo at the airport and spend the weekend in Portugals third-large city and the Lisbons big enemy!!!! Unfortunately finally 8 people joined Lolos trip, to which she never arrived, because she decided to stay in London (The gods might know why??????)
Porto turned out to be a great experience for me. It made me think a lot. About things I think of way too much.... about things I never thought of.... about things I should have thought of already. Porto sweetend our stay with some special surprices and adventures. (I don´t wanna tell too much of it. I have a phone... for those who want to know....) Let me start to present the fabulous people, that built the group staying in Porto: 5 germans, 1 suice-austrian, 1 polnish-austrian and 1 spanish guy. We already spent, depending on the person, more or less time together in Lissbon and I have to confess: Gosto muito de vocês... simplesmente.

Compaired to Lisbon, Porto is wheater more ugly or prettier.... its just special and also very beautyful. I experienced it to be much calmer, much more natural and pure, and thousand times more melancholic than Portugals capital, even though it is almost about the same size (at least the centre). "Europes cultural Capital 2001" is definately worth a visit, but for sure its not as crazy, alternative, chic, stylish and modern as Lisbon starts to be. But... for sure.... the food is really good and the restaurantes much cheaper. Our Portodays were filled with a traditional Portwine-tasting, a lot of walking around, sunset on the riverside eating olives and having a beer, some going-out in the night and a lot of coffeestops at several cafés. Let me just say: Lolo.... you definitaly missed a great trip!

Next days I´m triing to talk some more about stories happening to us in Porto....

Down in the past...

This is how it looks like, when 7 of your best friends come over from Germany to spent New-Years together with you in Lisbon. Of course that means a big spaceproblem and bathroomstruggles, but on the other hand it means a wonderful journey into the past. We have been friends since highschool, when we all spent every morning together, side by side... Things have changed... the world moved on... we all live in different cities now... found new friends there... We don´t see each other that often... one more often... the others less... And when we see each other, than mostly on somebodies party... surrounded by a lot of others. This 6 days it was just us... us like in the old days... just us...

... and Lisbon!

Honeys, you have no idea how much I love you all! The week we spent together here in our little, little house was just amazing. Before you all came I was kind of afraid if you all fit into our Lisbon-Life, but now I know that it was just perfect to have you here and it was just much better than I imagined it would be. It feels great to realize that our friendship never died and we all are still great together.
In my opinion, our frienship is extraordinary!

Julia: You are just amazing!
Michel: Just open your eyes for the future. It will be great! Cause you deserve IT ALL...
Flo: I don´t know any person that is as un-complicated as you are. Keep that! Its so nice to have you around! And you´re also the best storyteller in the world!
Benny: I just love you! Can´t wait for your next call... ;-)
Marco: Lets go disco-dancing! New-Years morning 7:00 o`clock at Luis Camoes with you and benny is the best thing ever! Your´re so unique. Thank god!
Giovanni: Ey de Plaus! Its unbelievable how much you can eat... :-) Really don´t wanna miss your friendship!
Seonny: Finally we spent a lot of time together again. I really, really missed that. But its also good to see, that we didn´t loose our friendship at all. Lets call each other more often in the future!

Its amazing to see that after all these years, our friendship is just the same. And for the future...now matter how it will be... you all can be sure: I WILL BE THERE!

*Have you ever told your friends,
that they mean everything to you?
Did you tell them, that you´ll be there
to make their dreams come true?
YES I HAVE!
Should have done it long ago,
but now I know, what I didn´t long ago.
And I know, that life gets shorter
everyday we loose a day...
So I what you all to know,
that I love you!
What do we wait for, if we keep our feelings
looked up and to ourselves?
We hesitate but soon we´ll all regret
when we find the door has closed
and we´re too late...*
(lyrics by Mike Tramp/ Have you ever)
